The 2019 English Band 4 exam of Yantai Vocational College is in September. The school has won 14 project approvals from superior scientific research project approval departments; 31 horizontal projects have been approved and 36 projects have been completed; and academic papers have been recognized 155 articles; 19 patents authorized by the State Intellectual Property Office; 30 scientific research achievement awards at or above the municipal level.
In a research report on the scientific research competitiveness of 200 national demonstration and backbone higher vocational colleges in China released by East China Normal University, CNKI Knowledge Network and other departments, Shandong ranks 64th among higher vocational colleges in China. Ranked 4th among provincial higher vocational colleges.
As of May 2015, the school has 8 school-level scientific research institutions: Technology R&D and Promotion Center, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Research Institute, Automation Research Institute, Food Research Institute, Electronics Research Institute, Mold Research Institute Design and Manufacturing Research Institute, New Energy Technology Research Institute, Vocational Quality Education Research Institute.
9 provincial-level scientific research projects were completed; 3 provincial-level scientific research achievements were awarded, and Yantai City’s scientific research achievements were awarded 16 times. [41] 44 projects have been approved at the provincial and municipal levels, including 31 horizontal projects, 61 patents have been granted, and 23 scientific research awards of various types have been approved; 1 project funded by the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province and 1 science and technology project in Yantai City have been approved. One major issue of the city’s “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”.
