The State Key Laboratory of Coal Liquefaction and Coal Chemical Industry consists of five specialized laboratories: research and development of coal liquefaction catalyst, coal liquefaction process development, coal chemical catalyst and process development, basic theoretical research, instrument and chemical analysis, coal liquefaction and coal chemical pilot research base. The laboratory has more than 50 advanced experimental instruments and equipment such as ICP plasma spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer and scanning electron microscope, as well as 5000 tons/year high-temperature indirect liquefaction pilot plant of Fischer-Tropsch synthetic coal and 5000 tons/year low-temperature indirect liquefaction pilot plant.
The main research direction of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Liquefaction and Coal Chemical Industry is: 1. Research and development of coal indirect liquefaction technology: 2. Technology research and development of producing downstream chemical products from coal-based methanol; 3.R&D and integrated co-production technology of oil, electricity and chemistry with coal as raw materials.
The laboratory has done a lot of fruitful work in the technical research and development of coal liquefaction and coal chemical industry, and achieved a series of results. 1. The independent research and development of indirect liquefaction technology of low-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthetic coal was completed, and a 5000-ton/year Fischer-Tropsch synthesis pilot plant and its supporting 100-ton/year catalyst plant were built. The pilot plant has achieved long-term continuous and stable full-load operation for 4706 hours, and all technical indicators have reached the leading domestic and international advanced levels. The cetane number of diesel oil produced is more than 75, and it is sulfur-free, nitrogen-free and has low aromatic hydrocarbon content. The total yield of naphtha steam cracking trienes is more than 60%, which is a high-quality ethylene cracking raw material. A million-ton industrial demonstration device based on this technology is being actively implemented, and it is planned to put into trial operation and demonstration operation on 20 10; 2. Complete the construction of 5000 tons/year fixed fluidized bed high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis pilot plant, realize 1883 hours continuous and stable full-load industrial operation test, and successfully obtain the basic data needed for large-scale industrial plant design.
At present, the laboratory has undertaken 5 national 863 program projects, obtained 3 scientific and technological achievements, applied for more than 30 patents, and obtained 17 patents of coal liquefaction technology, including 14 invention patents, covering key technologies of indirect coal liquefaction such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor and internals, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and reduction process of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, and processing technology of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis products.
