What does technology docking mean?

The process of making scientific research results go out of the laboratory and apply them to industry. "Technology docking" is the process of getting scientific research results out of the laboratory and applying them to industry. Technology docking is different from the traditional point-to-point technology transfer (technology trade). Through patent transaction or patent transfer, a single scientific research achievement is exported to a single enterprise. Instead, it is based on the market and demand-oriented, and the scientific research achievement is followed up by testing, developing, applying and popularizing until new products, new processes and new materials are formed and new industries are developed.
