Is it illegal to buy non-standard equipment without providing control procedures?

Illegal.

1. If the control program of non-standard equipment is within the scope of patent protection and the purchaser is not authorized by the patentee, the purchase and use of the equipment may constitute patent infringement. At this point, the patentee has the right to ask the buyer to stop the infringement and bear the corresponding tort liability.

2. If the control program of non-standard equipment contains trade secrets, the buyer's unauthorized acquisition and use of the equipment may constitute infringement of trade secrets.

3. If the control procedures of non-standard equipment do not meet the national mandatory standards or industry standards, or there are other quality problems, the purchaser may be subject to administrative punishment or bear civil liability.
