Research Achievements of School of Electrical and Power Engineering, Taiyuan University of Technology

A number of scientific research achievements have been made in the fields of mine intelligent electrical appliances technology, special motor technology, AC drive technology and key technologies of wind power generation, among which the research on key technologies of mine intelligent combined electrical appliances has reached the international leading level. * * * won three second prizes for national scientific and technological progress, three first prizes for scientific and technological progress in Shanxi Province, three second prizes for scientific and technological progress in Shanxi Province, and the first prize for teaching achievement in Shanxi Province 1 item, and published more than 400 papers at conferences at home and abroad, among which more than 60 articles were included in the three major indexes, and won the national invention patent1kloc-0/item. The college undertook horizontal projects. According to relevant data, at present, the college teachers are researching 33 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and the scientific research funds amount to more than 20 million yuan. The national 11th Five-Year Plan project "Research on Digital Monitoring of Coal Mine Safety Production and Early Warning System of Major Disasters" undertaken by the College as the lead unit shows that the College has the ability to undertake major national projects. In 2009, "Research on key technologies of mine local ventilation group control system and safe power supply technology and development of supporting equipment" won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress and became a landmark achievement of the school.
