Is it about to be resurrected and produced in China again? Acura TLX domestic patent map exposed

As Honda's high-end brand, Acura integrates the two major labels of sports and luxury. Among them, TLX, as its sedan, has good sales in the North American market. However, it was acclimated to China after it came to China. It was discontinued after only one year of domestic production, resulting in a vacancy for the Acura brand in the domestic sedan market.

In May this year, the new generation TLX was released in North America, and its product capabilities have improved a lot compared to the old model. Recently, Waterdrop Auto APP learned a set of patent drawings of the new TLX from the National Patent Office, which means that the new car is expected to continue to be produced in China.

The front face of the new car still has the family’s classic “diamond” grille, and a new diffuser is added below. The light groups on both sides have been redesigned, and an “L”-shaped daytime running light is integrated inside. The lights visually add to the sense of aggression. The waistline on the side of the car body is tighter, the tail line is full of three-dimensionality, the adjusted taillight group is more narrow and elongated, and the lower exhaust is a bilateral single outlet layout.

The interior of the new car uses LCD instruments and a suspended central control screen, which significantly improves the sense of technology. The center console is wrapped in leather, with solid wood veneers and red trim strips added around it. The shift mechanism is button-type, giving it both a luxurious and sporty feel.

In terms of power, overseas markets provide two options of 2.0T and 3.0L, and a four-wheel drive system. It is expected that after domestic production, only the 2.0T model will be provided, with a maximum power of 195 kilowatts and a peak torque of 380 N·m, and will be matched with a 10AT gearbox.

In the future, if Acura TLX continues to be produced in China, it will not only fill the gap in the sedan market, but also provide a new choice for consumers who prefer sports style. We will wait and see.
