Introduction to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University

The Third Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University was formerly known as Changzhou First People's Hospital. Changzhou First People's Hospital was founded in 1918. After 90 years of construction, it has developed into a hospital with complete departments and technology. It is a tertiary-level comprehensive hospital with strong strength, advanced medical equipment and high academic level, integrating medicine, teaching and research. It was listed as the Third Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou Medical College in 1995 and was renamed as the Third Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University in 2000. The hospital was established as one of the first batch of basic modern hospitals in Jiangsu Province in 2005. From 2008 to 2013, it received 13 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 16 provincial and ministerial-level projects, including 9 Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, 14 other national-level, ministerial-provincial-level projects, and 128 department-level and municipal-level projects. 87 projects were approved at the bureau level. Won 52 scientific and technological progress awards of various types, including 5 provincial awards and 47 municipal awards. It has won 94 awards for the introduction of new medical technologies, including 40 awards for the introduction of new medical technologies from the Provincial Department of Health. 3 other awards (Patent Award). Obtained 7 national invention patents and 32 other patents.
