1. If you smell gas at home, use a brush to apply washing powder or soapy water to the joints, valves or welds where air leakage is suspected. If bubbles appear, it is a leak. If there is no response after brushing it, you can stick the brush dipped in soapy water directly to the leak detection area. If there is a gas leak, bubbles will continue to appear on the brush.
2. For parts that are difficult to apply soap water and out of sight, you can touch it with the back of your hand. Generally, you can feel the air leakage with the back of your hand.

How to deal with gas leaks correctly?
1. Immediately close the valve in front of the meter, cut off the gas source, immediately cut off the main outdoor power supply, extinguish all fires, open doors and windows for ventilation, and allow natural gas to escape outdoors;
2. Check Check whether the switches (valves) of gas facilities such as stoves and water heaters are closed properly, and whether hoses are loose or fallen off;
3. Call Chengdu Gas’s 24-hour service hotline: 962777 from a safe outdoor location. If you find a gas leak in your neighbor's home, you should knock on the door to notify the neighbor and do not use doorbells and other electrical facilities.
4. Do not touch electrical switches (such as turning on or off lights). Do not use indoor or wireless phones. Do not use open flames or use open flames to test for leaks. Do not press the doorbell. Do not open any doorbell. Burning appliances until the leak is under control and there is no natural gas in the room.
