Why graphene is more precious than gold?

AVIC Institute of Aeronautical Materials announced that it had broken through the technical difficulties in preparing large-size and high-quality graphene films, mastered key patented technologies such as grain directional control growth on the surface of substrate materials and partial pressure ratio of reactive gases in chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and prepared graphene films on the surface of copper foil, exceeding 12 inch; The preparation technology of larger graphene films has also been broken through, and will be mass-produced in the near future, making the engineering preparation of large-size and high-quality graphene films a reality, marking the beginning of the "film era" for graphene preparation.

Graphene is a new material with a single-layer flaky structure composed of carbon atoms, and its thickness is only one carbon atom. It is the most known material in the world and the hardest material confirmed so far, and its strength is more than 100 times that of steel. At the same time, graphene is also the fastest known material, with 97.7% light transmittance and excellent thermal conductivity. Due to the difficulty in preparation, graphene is 5-20 times larger than Huang Jingui/KLOC-0 at present.

It is reported that the Institute of Aeronautical Materials has invested tens of millions of yuan to solve four major problems, such as the partial pressure ratio of reaction source gas and carrier gas, the uniformity of temperature in CVD reaction chamber, the matching of transfer medium and carrier, and the compatibility between target and graphene film, which effectively improves the integrity, cleanliness and product performance of graphene film.

And the structure of a single layer, a multi-layer or a mixed layer can be controlled according to the number of graphene films, thereby realizing the mass production of graphene films with large size and high quality. The production capacity of graphene films can reach hundreds every day, and Aeronautical Materials Institute takes the lead in preparing large-size and high-quality graphene in China.
