After the materials are reviewed and approved, there will be a comprehensive qualification examination. The comprehensive examination includes a written test and an interview. Only those who pass the comprehensive examination can obtain the qualifications of doctoral candidates. The content and form of the examination are different. In addition, applicants for the assessment system must meet the following conditions:

(2) Have strong scientific research capabilities or have special academic expertise or important academic achievements in a certain field or aspect.

In recent years, most colleges and universities in my country have gradually transformed into the application assessment system, especially the 985 colleges and universities, such as Peking University and Nanjing University, which have all adopted the application assessment system.
