What is the difference between WIPO and the TRIPS Agreement under WTO in terms of the scope of intellectual property adjustment?

1. The World Intellectual Property Organization is a global forum on intellectual property services, policies, cooperation and information. It is a self-financing United Nations organization with 187 member states as of April, 1965.

The scope of intellectual property defined by the World Intellectual Property Organization includes: literary, artistic and scientific works, performances by performing artists, sound recordings and broadcasts, inventions in all fields of human activities, scientific discoveries, designs, trademark service marks, trade names and brands, cessation of unfair competition, and all other rights arising from intellectual activities in the industrial, scientific, literary or artistic fields.

2.TRIPS is the English abbreviation of GATT intellectual property agreement.

TRIPS only stipulates intellectual property rights with property rights, but not intellectual property rights with personal rights. The intellectual property involved in TRIPS Agreement includes the following eight aspects: copyright and related rights, trademarks, geographical indications, industrial designs, patents, layout-design of integrated circuits, protection of undisclosed information and control of restrictive competition in licensing contracts.
