Brief introduction of the author of the prevention and control spectrum of garden plant diseases and insect pests

Xu Gongtian, 1940 was born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. University graduate, professor-level senior engineer. The first batch of outstanding experts in Shenyang. He has been engaged in the research of landscaping and garden pest control for more than 40 years, presided over, undertaken or participated in more than 20 scientific research projects issued by the state, provinces and cities, and won the national invention award 1, provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress award1,and 2 invention patents. Participated in the compilation of two masterpieces on forest protection of the Ministry of Forestry, and edited several monographs such as Atlas of Garden Plant Diseases and Pests in China. Four new biological species were discovered and named, which filled the gaps in the world and enriched the biological treasure house, and were accepted as members of the American Entomological Society. Participated in two international conferences on entomology, and made academic reports at the conferences. Recently, the patented products of environmental protection and insecticide have been successfully developed and extended to nearly 20 provinces and regions in China, making new contributions to pest control in agriculture, forestry and gardens. 1989 was awarded the title of outstanding scientific and technological worker in Shenyang, 1994 was awarded the title of outstanding scientific and technological worker in Liaoning Province during the Seventh Five-Year Plan, and 1996 was awarded the title of outstanding expert in Shenyang.
