The patent dispute between sogou and Baidu originated two years ago. 20 15 10, sogou input method brought Baidu input method to court, and filed patent infringement lawsuits for two consecutive rounds, claiming that Baidu infringed the input method patent enjoyed by sogou. In response to sogou's huge lawsuit, Baidu filed an objection with the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office, saying that sogou sued Baidu for alleged patent infringement, trying to prove that these input method patents in sogou were invalid. Not long ago, the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office made a review judgment on all 17 patents involved in this case, of which 7 patents remained fully effective and 5 patents were partially effective. This result shows that the Patent Reexamination Board has determined that sogou's patents such as "Cell Thesaurus" and "Redefining Delete Keys" have legal effect and enjoy corresponding legal rights.
