Hello: I have a few questions about patent priority. What do you mean by earlier application and later application of priority?

As the name implies, the earlier application refers to the application between the filing dates, and the later application refers to the application after the filing date. The novelty and creativity of patent examination are based on the date of application. Other related patents before the filing date (earlier application) can affect three characteristics of your patent. And any patent after the filing date cannot affect the three characteristics of your patent.
