A professor in Chen Guoming.

Professor Chen Guoming, male, was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province in 1962, graduated from the Mechanical Department of East China Petroleum Institute in 1982, was promoted to associate professor in 1992, was a professor in 1995, and received his doctorate in 1999 (the tutor was Gu Xinyu, an academician of China Institute of Engineering).

At present, he is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of China Youshi University (East China). Expert enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council (2005), winner of the National May 1st Labor Medal (2007), national candidate of "Ten Million Talents Project in the New Century" (2006), and the first batch of trans-century academic and technical leaders of China Petroleum Group (1997). He has been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the fields of offshore oil equipment and oil and gas safety engineering for a long time.

He has successively undertaken more than 40 national and provincial vertical scientific research projects, won the National Science and Technology Progress Award 1, the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award 12, the Bureau-level Science and Technology Achievement Award 16, published more than 300 academic papers (EI 83), co-published 3 monographs and teaching materials, and edited papers 1.

At present, he is the first-class discipline leader of mechanical engineering, safety technology and engineering in China Youshi University (East China), and is responsible for the construction of "Oil and Gas Safety Engineering Discipline" in China Youshi University 21Project (Phase III). He is also the director of China Youshi University's Offshore Oil and Gas Equipment and Safety Technology Research Center, the director of Offshore Petroleum Engineering Research Office and the director of Shandong Key Laboratory of Petroleum Machinery Engineering. Member of Quality and Reliability Professional Committee of China Petroleum Institute, Deputy Director of Offshore Oil Exploration and Development Professional Committee of Shandong Petroleum Institute, Academic Committee of Petroleum and Natural Gas Safety Production Engineering Technology Research Center of State Administration of Work Safety, and Marine Engineering Professional Committee of China Shipbuilding Engineering Society; Editor of Petroleum Science, Petroleum Mining Machinery and Journal of China Youshi University (Natural Science Edition); Expert in the evaluation of the National Science and Technology Award in 2005 and the Science and Technology Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association in 2007 and 2008.

Professor Chen has been engaged in teaching petroleum equipment and safety engineering for a long time. He has taught 14 undergraduate, master and doctoral courses such as "system simulation" and "mechanical engineering control theory" successively, supervised 3 1 and 20 master and doctoral students, and won 2 provincial and ministerial teaching achievement awards. The graduate students he directed have achieved many innovative achievements, such as ACFM visual inspection, disaster assessment of offshore oil development, and dynamic reliability analysis of offshore structures. Three of them were rated as "Excellent Graduates of Shandong Province", four as "Advanced Individuals in Social Practice of Shandong Province", and 1 person won the "Cross-century Development Fund for College Students in China", and was the first batch of excellent graduate tutors in Shandong Province. Long-term commitment to the scientific research of offshore oil equipment and oil and gas safety engineering has established a research team with young teachers, doctoral students and master students as the research subjects.

In order to meet the needs of the development of China petroleum industry, the research on the safety guarantee technology of offshore oil equipment with safety analysis and evaluation as the core has been systematically carried out, and many innovative achievements have been obtained, such as the theory and application of safety analysis and evaluation of offshore oil structures, the theory and application of fatigue fracture and reliability evaluation of platforms in ice areas, the safety and reliability evaluation of in-service submarine pipelines, fuzzy probabilistic fracture mechanics and its application, and the analysis and design of deepwater drilling risers. In particular, a set of relatively complete application theories and methods, such as fatigue damage assessment, life prediction and structural reliability analysis, have been developed, and the safety and reliability assessment system of offshore structures in ice areas has been improved.

The research in this field is helpful to break the foreign technology monopoly and build a technical system of offshore oil and gas development with China characteristics and independent intellectual property rights. It has good theoretical innovation and engineering application value, and achieved remarkable results in engineering practice.
