Student in high school at Yunyang Middle School in Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province from 1972 to 1974. From 1975 to 1976, he studied at Shiqiao Hospital in Jingyang County, Shaanxi Province. From 1977 to 1980, he studied in the pharmacy major of Shaanxi Provincial Health School (now Xi'an Medical College). From 1981 to 1985, he worked at Yaodian Hospital in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. From 1986 to 1991, he worked in the Pharmacy Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. From 1989 to 1992, he studied for a master's degree at Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and obtained a master's degree. From 1992 to 1995, he studied for a doctoral degree at Bethune Medical University and received his Ph.D. From 1995 (enlisted in the army in the same year) to 1997, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Biology Postdoctoral Mobile Station of Northeast Normal University. In 1995, he was specially recruited into the army and served as the director of the Air Force Molecular Biology Research Center. He was named associate professor in 1995; professor and chief pharmacist in 1997; and doctoral supervisor in biochemistry and molecular biology at Bethune Medical University in 1998. In 2004, Beijing Tigercoxin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was founded.
Won the honorary titles of Air Force High-level Talents and Experts with Outstanding Contributions. Won third-class merit twice. He has successively undertaken more than 10 major scientific research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the “Ninth Five-Year Plan” and “Tenth Five-Year Plan” of the entire army, and major scientific research projects of the Air Force. It has trained 26 doctoral students and 9 master's students. Published more than 60 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals. Won 4 military science and technology progress awards and 3 national invention patents.
