Everyone works for the boss while studying in graduate school. How much money will the boss give each month?

In 2014, my country implemented a postgraduate fee policy, and all postgraduate students have canceled the policy of paying for postgraduate studies. As the country abolished the policy of publicly funded postgraduate study, the corresponding country also increased its scholarship policy.

The main scholarships and bursaries for postgraduate education include: national scholarships and bursaries, "three aids" post allowances, national student loans, tuition compensation loan reimbursement and other methods.

National Scholarship

The National Graduate Scholarship is used to reward particularly outstanding graduate students. Each year, 35,000 master's degree students are awarded, worth 20,000 yuan per student per year. National scholarships are relatively difficult to obtain because of the small number of places and 20,000 per master's degree student. Academic performance only plays a small part in the selection process. Winning competitions, publishing papers, patent authorization, etc. are all bonus points.

Academic Scholarships

Academic scholarships have different policies for each school. Some schools offer academic scholarships that cover all students, and the scholarships are the same for everyone. For example, at Tongji University, graduate students receive 10,000 yuan per year, which is just enough to cover tuition fees. There are also some schools that will set up three tiers, first class, second class and third class. The proportion of first class is usually around 20%. In addition to the tuition fee, there is a balance of several thousand; the second class bonus almost covers the tuition fee; the third class bonus almost covers the tuition fee; The bonus is generally not enough to cover the tuition fee, which means that a part of the tuition fee has to be paid. For example, Tsinghua University's postgraduate scholarship is 12,000 for first-class students, with a proportion of 40%; 8,000 for second-class students, with a proportion of 30%; and 2,000 for third-class students, with a proportion of 30%. The tuition fee for general majors is 8,000.

Of course, some universities have better scholarships for postgraduate studies. Third-class scholarships can deduct tuition fees. For example, South China University of Technology, the first-class scholarship is 12,000 yuan/year, and the second-class scholarship is 10,000 yuan/year. The third-class scholarship standard is 8,000 yuan/year. The level of academic scholarships is generally determined based on course performance rankings, and most people can receive second-class and above academic scholarships.

National grants

are used to fund the basic living expenses of all full-time graduate students (except those with fixed salary income) in general colleges and universities across the country who are included in the national graduate enrollment plan. The funding standard for master's degree students is no less than 6,000 yuan per student per year. National scholarships are generally paid on a monthly basis, and the specific payment methods vary from school to school. For example, Beijing University of Science and Technology issues 600 per month, divided into 10 months, and Tianjin University issues 500 per month, divided into 12 months.

"Three Assistants" Position Subsidy

During the postgraduate period, the school will provide three positions: research assistant, teaching assistant, and management assistant. This will not only help you practice your work ability, but also, most importantly, One point, this is a salary, how much is it? It is determined by the school, and it also depends on the position you choose and the hours of work per week. If you work two days per week, you can get a subsidy of several hundred yuan a month, which will not affect your study time too much. Of course, you need to apply for these positions yourself, and the school or college will select the best candidates.

Other special scholarships

Different majors generally offer some special scholarships to reward students with outstanding academic performance and other aspects. Most of them are established by enterprises, and there are also some alumni scholarships and so on. Generally, the better universities have more types of special scholarships, the more special scholarships the school has for its dominant majors. The amount ranges from several thousand to tens of thousands of yuan.

Research Subsidy

Another source of income for graduate school is the tutor’s subsidy. However, whether and how much income there is depends on different schools and majors. Generally, tutors with master's degrees in science and engineering receive more subsidies, because they have to help their tutors with projects, which is of course more difficult. Generally, tutors will give students some living allowances, some are 200 per month, some are 1,000 per month, and some tutors send red envelopes in the WeChat group regardless of whether they have something to do or not. In addition, if you go on a business trip, the school will provide you with a business subsidy.
