Oaks patent case

In order to crack down on competitors.

Gree Electric, the boss of domestic air conditioners, always seems to be lenient with his younger brother Aux. Following last year's huge claim against Oaks, which set a record for patent infringement claims in the domestic home appliance industry, Gree Electric attacked again this year when the air-conditioning peak season came, and reported Oaks' air-conditioning energy efficiency fraud to the State Administration of Market Supervision and the National Development and Reform Commission.

On June 12, Oaks said through the Voice of Zhejiang that from the perspective of national manufacturing, Gree launched an attack at an inappropriate time. Oakes appealed that in the context of Sino-US trade friction, "national brands should join hands with the outside world, and Gree ignored the national justice and the overall situation of the country and directly went to war with local enterprises."

This "war" of air-conditioning giants should not be a "war of words", but should aim at improving the quality level of air-conditioning in China, enhancing the transparency of the industry and safeguarding the interests of consumers.
