The connector mainly used for panel furniture was invented by Haifule Furniture Fittings Company in 1970s, because their name "minifix" was patented. Later, Hei Di Shi Company also invented its own patented three-in-one connector named "eccentric connector", so the name of "eccentric connector" was adopted abroad. Since it was introduced to China in 1980s, people have named it after the number of accessories: three-in-one connector, two-in-one connector and four-in-one connector.
