Say goodbye to the charging problem, robots bring new ideas and ignite new outlets.

in recent years, with the continuous release of traffic and environmental demands, China's new energy vehicles have ushered in rapid development. Relying on the continuous financial subsidies and bonus support from the state, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in China has reached more than one million at present, and the sales volume has also soared for many years. However, just as the industry situation is excellent, the "unable to keep up" of charging facilities has become a "roadblock" that hinders further development.

on the one hand, the existing charging facilities are not complete and the coverage is limited, which can not meet the charging needs of existing vehicles; On the other hand, the inconvenience caused by charging also enlarges the short battery life of new energy vehicles, which seriously affects consumers' choice of car purchase. Based on this, in order to solve the above problems, many industry manufacturers began to devote themselves to the construction of charging piles and other facilities or promote the development of power exchange services, in order to fundamentally solve the problem of automobile charging.

unfortunately, the charging pile can't be built if you want, which involves many factors, and needs to be comprehensively considered by the government, property, power grid, operation, owners and users. At the same time, the power exchange service is still in the initial development stage, which makes it difficult to solve the charging problem in the short term. So, is there no other solution? In fact, with the development of robots in the past two years, charging robots are becoming a new idea.

the so-called charging robot is the product of the fusion of charging piles and mobile robots. At first, this concept was put forward by Wei Lai, who tried to use a mobile charging car to charge other electric vehicles and provide "one-button power-on" service. Later, Tesla further developed this concept by launching a semi-trailer carrying commercial energy storage batteries and a number of fast-charging piles, and initially created the prototype of a charging robot.

Today, the charging robot has been favored by more and more car companies, and it has become a brand-new development outlet. In April last year, Aichi Automobile released a mobile charging robot CARL;; At the same time, Youai Zhihe Robot located in Xi 'an also jointly launched its own mobile charging robot with Terry De. In addition, not long ago, Vision Technology also released Mohji, the world's first green charging robot ...

The reason why charging robots have become the same choice for so many car companies to solve the charging problem is because they have too many advantages compared with fixed charging facilities such as charging piles. For example, the charging robot can move freely, with small floor space, more flexible and convenient deployment, and simpler charging operation. Moreover, the application of charging robot does not need to be affected by too many environmental factors, and its adaptability and autonomy are also very strong.

In some multi-storey parking lots and remote areas that are not suitable for building fixed charging piles, charging robots have high application value, which can effectively solve the disadvantages of inconvenient charging and endurance defects of new energy vehicles, so that car owners don't have to actively look for charging stations and get a more convenient charging experience. In the future, through * * * sharing, leasing and other modes, charging robots can be brought to the market quickly, and the commercial prospects are immeasurable.

Of course, before this, the charging robot also needs to solve three problems:

One is technology. The charging robot is divided into two parts: the mobile robot and the energy storage device. The former part has very high technical requirements. Because the mobile robot is mainly composed of AGV, robotic arm, vision camera and so on, it means that the robot must have good navigation planning ability and extremely high precision requirements, which are inseparable from the blessing and upgrading of technology.

the second is energy storage. If the energy storage device can be transported by mobile robots, its volume and weight must not exceed certain limits, which leads to its energy storage will not be much. According to professionals, the energy storage of some existing mobile charging robots can only meet the demand of about 5 cars. In addition, the mobile robots themselves also need to consume electricity, and the reserves are still obviously insufficient, which needs further improvement.

the third is cost. Although the layout and construction cost of the charging robot is not high, the use cost is quite high. On the one hand, the nature of mobile determines that its transportation cost is not low; On the other hand, the appearance of transportation cost will naturally lead to the owner paying more when charging than ordinary charging piles. Based on these two aspects, the large-scale application of mobile charging piles is also facing cost pressure. Cost reduction or other solutions are needed in the future.
