1. The documents that need to be submitted for patents need to be filled in in accordance with the form format uniformly prescribed by the Patent Office. It should be noted that different patent types require different materials:
(1 ) Application materials for invention patents and utility model patents are roughly the same. The application materials that need to be prepared are: invention patent request, specification, claims, and summary of the specification. If the patent you prepare has drawings, you need to submit the description, drawings and Attached to the abstract are drawings. All documents must be in duplicate. If you require reduction of various patent fees, you may submit two fee reduction requests at the same time.
(2) The materials required to apply for a design patent include: two copies of the design patent request, two copies of the design drawings or photos. If color protection is required, both color and black-and-white drawings or photos should be submitted. Two copies of each, a brief description of the design in two copies, and two copies of the request for fee reduction if you require reduction of various patent fees.
2. When applying for fee reduction, everyone needs to note that the reason for the reduction should be written in the fee reduction request. If it is an individual who applies for fee reduction, it needs to write down the annual income. If it is for two or more people, it needs to be written. Fill in each person's annual income in detail, and indicate the types of expenses that are required to be mitigated. Currently, the expenses that can be applied for mitigation include application fees, review fees, maintenance fees, review fees, partial annual fees, etc.
3. Submission of patent application documents. You can submit the patent information to the Patent Office by yourself, or you can choose to submit it by registered mail. Please note that the patent document cannot be folded, so it is recommended that you choose an envelope that can hold A4 paper for mailing.
