History of corrugated boxes

1856, Edward Healy and Edward Allen, two brothers from England, invented corrugated paper as the lining of hats to breathe and absorb sweat. 187 1 year, Albert Jones, an American, invented single-sided corrugated board for packaging glass lampshades and similar fragile articles, and obtained the first patent in the United States. By the end of 19, the United States began to study the use of corrugated cardboard to make packaging and transportation boxes.

1920 double corrugated cardboard came out and its use expanded rapidly. During World War I, corrugated boxes only accounted for 20% of transport packaging. However, during World War II, corrugated boxes accounted for 80% of transport packaging. Corrugated box has become the most widely used packaging container in modern commerce and trade, and it is also one of the most important packaging forms adopted by all countries in the world today.
