Strawberries should not be planted in places with low terrain and uneven ground. The soil with strong irrigation and drainage ability, fertile and loose soil, fertilizer and water conservation and good air permeability is most suitable for strawberry planting. Strawberry is suitable to grow in acidic or neutral soil, and excessive alkali will hinder the development of strawberry. Crops such as beans and melons should try to choose the previous crops in the soil.
2. Soil preparation
After land selection, all weeds in the land should be removed, then soil preparation and disinfection should be carried out, exposed to the sun for 3-5 days, and sufficient agricultural machinery fertilizer should be applied. Determine the amount of base fertilizer according to the land area, generally 5000 kg/mu, and then mix a small amount of calcium superphosphate and potassium chloride. After applying base fertilizer, ploughing is carried out to make the base fertilizer and soil mix evenly, so as to improve soil fertility. Finally, make a good border to facilitate the growth and post-management of strawberries.
Step 3 plant
Planting methods have a great relationship with the later growth and management of strawberries. When planting, it is necessary to ensure that the inflorescence of each plant grows in the same direction, and the number of plants planted in each hole cannot exceed one. Master the planting depth, neither too shallow nor too deep. Reasonable control of planting density, planting density depends on the planting area and soil fertility, not too dense and too thin.
water
Strawberries like water, so after planting, they should be watered enough to root, and then watered every 5-7 days to ensure that the soil will not dry. In the process of growth, it is necessary to ensure sufficient water to promote the growth of plants. When strawberries are in bloom, they need a lot of water. If you don't water it in time, it will lead to serious flowering and fruit drop in the late growth stage and reduce the yield.
5. Surface treatment
Strawberries need a lot of nutrients, especially before and after flowering and fruiting, so they need to be fully fertilized. Then topdressing according to the actual situation during growth, such as the peak period of fertilizer demand in flowering and fruiting period, fruit expansion period and final maturity period. Diammonium phosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be applied appropriately to increase the yield. Top dressing must ensure comprehensive nutrition and reasonable proportion in order to effectively promote growth.
6. Temperature
Strawberry is a kind of warm fruit, which is very sensitive to temperature changes. The growth temperature around strawberries should be reasonably controlled during planting. Strengthen temperature management, the most suitable temperature for strawberry growth is about 22-25 degrees, if it exceeds the range of 5-30 degrees, the growth of strawberry will be greatly hindered. Therefore, we must keep the temperature balance around us in order to make strawberries grow better.
7. Management
Patrol the orchard regularly, remove old leaves, dead leaves and diseased leaves in time, clean up fallen flowers and fruits and some diseased fruits, and take them out of the orchard for treatment. Control the growth of plants and prevent overgrowth. Do a good job of irrigation and drainage in the orchard, water it in time in case of drought, and prevent water accumulation in the orchard in rainy days. Try to reduce the humidity of the orchard to prevent the roots and fruits from rotting and affect the yield.
