Microsoft Surface Pro 7 was just released at the beginning of 10, upgraded to Intel's 10th generation Core processor, and added USB-C interface, which will be released soon. But the new features of the next generation Surface Pro 8 began to be exposed.
According to the recently published patent, Microsoft is seeking to improve the sound quality of the speakers in the Surface tablet.
Microsoft pointed out that the speaker space of thin and light equipment is limited, and there are still many shortcomings in quality.
In the patent recently released but first submitted on April 30th, 20 18, Microsoft thinks that the bracket of Surface can be equipped with suitable speakers. Another advantage of placing the speaker here is that the space between the bracket and the surface can act as a sound box to enhance the bass.
In order to improve this element, Microsoft envisages using some kind of baffle to close the two ends of the space, and using rubber or similar materials at the end of the bracket to ensure a good seal with the table.
In addition, due to its small size, Microsoft also plans to install the micro speakers in the mobile phone on the bracket baffle. Microsoft pointed out that the main speaker may be a traditional speaker with magnets or piezoelectric speakers, so it is getting thinner and thinner.
Microsoft also pointed out that the PC can track the position (opening or closing) information of the bracket and adjust the sound characteristics sent by the PC to the speaker.
Microsoft's patented features look ambitious and will be implemented on Surface Pro 8 as soon as possible.
