On the afternoon of May 1 1 Beijing time, according to foreign media reports, the patent application documents recently published by the US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) show that iMessages, an instant messaging software held by Apple and iOS systems, has added new functions, including re-editing the sent information.
Apple applied for a new technology patent named news delivery device, method and graphic user, including device side, graphic design and gesture touch operation and other related application functions.
One of the most striking is the full-text editing function of sent messages. The user can edit and modify the message after selecting it by finger pressing or touching. After modification, the edited message is displayed and sent to the receiver.
IMessage is an instant messaging application released by iOS 10. Users can send text, images, videos and contact information through WiFi or mobile data networks. However, compared with other similar applications, iMessage has many limitations.
Analysts said that if Apple continues to improve iMessage and add the information editing function described in the patent application documents, it will help Apple to better compete with other popular information applications with more functions, such as WeChat. Of course, it remains to be seen when these new features will be integrated into iOS.
