Among you is James Zhou, who is a doctoral student in engineering at the School of Computer Science. On August 18, when a flash flood broke out in Datong County, Qinghai Province, he led a team to dispatch a pterosaur large-scale fixed-wing emergency communication system, flying 600 km 16 hours overnight to provide emergency communication support for the hardest hit areas, and then went to Jiangbei, Beibei and other places in Chongqing to carry out forest fire rescue with drones.
Tang Deshan, a Ph.D. student directly under the Institute of Electronics, participated in the research of advanced semiconductors and integrated microsystems during his undergraduate period. As the first author, he published a paper in IEEE MTT, an authoritative international journal in the field of microwave/millimeter wave, and won the 20021IEEE MTT Student Scholarship, which is the highest honor awarded to undergraduates and master students by IEEE MTT Association.
And Li Weihao, a doctoral student at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Cheng Lei, Ph.D. student of 20 19, School of Electronics, has made important research achievements in the preparation of new two-dimensional semiconductor nanomaterials, the dynamic transformation of microelectronics and its application in energy and environment. As the first author, she published a series of academic papers in authoritative journals such as Advanced Materials, including 3 highly cited papers, which won the honorary title of "academic rookie" of the school and won the national scholarship for doctoral students for two consecutive years.
At present, Cheng Lei devotes himself to the research of nano-semiconductor functional materials for high-performance clean energy conversion and storage, and once again publishes the research results in Advanced Materials as the first author, and puts forward a new catalytic synthesis method of nano-semiconductor functional materials, which has made a new breakthrough in the photoelectric catalytic mechanism.
Wang, Ph.D. student of 20 19, School of Information and Communication, majoring in radar detection technology. As the first person in charge of the students, he deeply participated in the research and development of a key radar project, and combined radar equipment with artificial intelligence for the first time, and put forward the strong clutter suppression technology of generating countermeasure learning. Through experimental verification, the strong clutter suppression ability was greatly improved.
Wang has been on a business trip for more than 300 days, and nearly half of the time a year is spent outside debugging. The longest continuous business trip for a single person is 33 days. In order to save commuting time from the experimental field to the hotel, Wang Miao offered to live in the simple accommodation area provided by the experimental field. She proved with practical actions that girls can also do a good job in national defense.
Huangshan, a 20 17 doctoral student in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, is a "maker". She has successively won the robot contest champion of Asia-Pacific college students, the gold medal in the "Creating Youth" national college students' entrepreneurship competition and the gold medal in the "internet plus" national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition. In 2020, he was selected into Forbes Asia's elite list under 30, and won the honors of 20 19-2020 University Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Person of the Year and the 11th China Youth Entrepreneurship Award.
Huangshan students founded a number of robot companies, and combined with their own knowledge, competition experience and market demand, they successively launched badminton robots, autonomous mobile retail terminal robots, autonomous delivery service robots and other products. As a young maker, Huangshan has twice reported the entrepreneurial situation to Premier Li Keqiang, who praised him.
