1. If the patent application period expires, the parties concerned shall go through the registration of termination of the patent right with the patent administration department of the State Council.
2. You can't apply for renewal.
According to relevant laws and regulations, the term of patent for utility model is ten years, that for design is fifteen years, and that for invention is twenty years, all of which are counted from the date of application.
