Yang Qian's Works and Achievements

Dr. Yang Qian is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of Harbin Institute of Technology, deputy director of Heilongjiang Institute of Plant Pathology, member of the teaching steering committee of biotechnology and bioengineering specialty of the Ministry of Education, judge and director of biotechnology specialty of China, and leader of bioengineering specialty of Harbin Institute of Technology.

199 1 after returning to China, Dr. Liu Ying has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in plant pathology, biological control of plant diseases, environmental microorganisms, genetic engineering of biological control microorganisms and genomics. He presided over 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 2 projects funded by State Education Commission, 863 1 national project, 3 key projects of Provincial Natural Science Foundation 1 provincial key science and technology projects. More than 30 papers 1 have been published at home and abroad (including 40 papers from SCI and EI sources, 32 papers from international conferences in Plant Pathology Review1). Published 8 monographs; Won the second prize of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Progress Award (macroscopic and microscopic research on the pathogenic mechanism of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, research on the transformation and utilization of fungicide resistance genes); Apply for 5 national invention patents; He was invited to attend 7 international conferences and presided over 4 international conferences.

The EST of the genome of Chaetomium sp., an important biocontrol bacteria against plant diseases, was studied preliminarily, and the cDNA library of Chaetomium sp. in mycelium growth period was constructed. The 138 1 expression genes in Chaetomium were obtained for the first time at home and abroad, all of which were registered in the international GENBANK(DDBJ), among which 5 13 genes also existed in other organisms, and 868 genes were new. Science News reported this research result in a prominent position. It has attracted the attention of colleagues at home and abroad.

Completed the growth period of Chaetoceros mycelium and the EST sequencing induced by chitinase, and took the lead in registering 4490 Chaetoceros EST gene sequences in the international GENBANK.

The EST of Trichoderma genome, another important biocontrol bacterium of plant diseases, was studied preliminarily, and the cDNA library of Trichoderma during the silk growth period was constructed. 4 128 clones were randomly selected for sequencing, and the genes expressed in 1740 Trichoderma were obtained for the first time at home and abroad, all of which have been registered in the international GENBANK(DDBJ). EST sequencing induced by chitinase from Trichoderma harzianum was completed, and the 1386 EST gene sequence was registered in the international GENBANK.

This study has opened up a new way to reveal the genetic basis of the biological control function of Chaetomium, laid an indispensable theoretical foundation for continuing to study the functional genes related to biological control, studying their expression products and developing a new generation of biological pesticides, and is a good start for original research with independent intellectual property rights.
