Zigong salt has advantages in salt quality, and has been among the best in well salt since the Tang and Song Dynasties, and has been among the best in the national and Sichuan salt quality appraisal for many times. Chongqing is one of the famous salt-producing areas in southwest China and even the whole country, and Zigong salt is also one of its important salt sources.
