Liu Zhiqiang, male, born in 1962, researcher, doctor of science, 1984 graduated from the chemistry department of Jilin University with a bachelor's degree in science, 1990 with a master's degree in chemistry department of Jilin University, and 1996 and 1997 with a doctor's degree in chemistry department of Jilin University. He is currently the director of the Key Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry in Jilin Province, the director of the Chemistry Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jilin Province, the member of the Academic Committee of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the director of the new drug research office, and the project leader of the new drug research group of traditional Chinese medicine.

As the project leader, he has undertaken more than ten scientific research projects, including the Ninth Five-Year Key Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Climbing Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the state administration of traditional chinese medicine Pre-selection Project, the Knowledge Innovation Project of China Academy of Sciences, the Outstanding Youth Fund Project of Jilin Science and Technology Department, and the Ninth Five-Year Key Project of Jilin Science and Technology Department. He has published more than 30 academic papers, won the third prize of scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Education, applied for 4 patents, and obtained the appraisal results of the Ministry of Education.

In recent years, based on modern soft ionization mass spectrometry (matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry, electrospray multi-stage tandem mass spectrometry) and the theory of serum pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and non-valence complex, a lot of exploratory studies have been made on the chemical material basis, compatibility law, detoxification mechanism and processing theory of traditional Chinese medicine. It laid a theoretical foundation for studying the theory of prescription of traditional Chinese medicine and the scientific connotation of Chinese medicine processing, and establishing a new method for screening effective components of traditional Chinese medicine at molecular level. On the basis of exploring the material basis and mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine compound, the traditional compound was reformed to create a new compound that met international standards. In addition, under the guidance of modern scientific theory and by means of modern separation technology, the research on new drug development, quality control standards, fingerprint and detection methods of pesticide residues and heavy metals in authentic medicinal materials in Changbai Mountain has been carried out, and great achievements have been made.
