1889 - Founded by Fusajiro Yamauchi, the original purpose was to produce playing cards.
1947 - The company was established, with Hiroshi Yamauchi (later renamed Hiroshi Yamauchi) as chairman. Later, a partnership was established with the Disney Company to produce playing cards with Disney images.
1977 - "Video Game 15" and "Video Game 6" are released.
1980 - The handheld game console "Game&Watch" was released, causing a sensation in the industry.
