Second, the choice of feed speed

Third, the running-in of the band saw blade

The new band saw blade must be run-in before it can be cut normally, so as to avoid premature damage to the sawtooth.

The feed during the running-in period is 20-30% of the normal feed.

The running-in period is about 5- 10% of the expected life.

The belt speed during running-in should be 20-30% of that during normal cutting.

Saw band should gradually transition from running-in period to normal cutting. Do not increase the feed and belt speed too much at a time. such as

45# steel φ 100 round steel can be cut normally after 20 knives. If the hardness of the cutting material is high or the cross section is large, the running-in knife

The quantity can be reduced accordingly. On the contrary, the number of running-in knives should be increased.
