What methods can I apply for a patent in the medical field?

The following methods are not examples of treatment methods, and the patent right shall not be refused according to the provisions of Item (3) of Paragraph 1 of Article 25 of the Patent Law.

(1) Method for manufacturing artificial limbs or prostheses, and measurement method for manufacturing artificial limbs or prostheses. For example, methods of manufacturing dentures include manufacturing dental molds in a patient's mouth and manufacturing dentures in vitro. Although its ultimate goal is treatment, the purpose of the method itself is to make suitable dentures.

(2) Animal husbandry production methods that treat animal carcasses by non-surgical methods to change their growth characteristics. For example, by applying certain electromagnetic stimulation to live sheep to promote their growth, improve mutton quality or increase wool production.

(3) Animal slaughtering methods.

(4) Disposal methods of corpses or animal carcasses. Such as anatomy, arrangement of remains, embalming of corpses, specimen making methods, etc.

(5) Simple cosmetic methods, that is, cosmetic methods that do not involve the human body or cause trauma, include body deodorization, protection, decoration or modification methods that can be implemented locally on the skin, hair, nails, teeth, etc. for non-therapeutic purposes.

(6) Methods of conveying oxygen, negative oxygen ions and moisture in order to make people or animals feel comfortable and happy under non-pathological conditions or under special circumstances such as diving and antivirus.

(7) Methods of killing bacteria, viruses, lice and fleas outside human body or animals (on skin or hair, but excluding wounds and infected parts).
