How many kilometers is the total length of overhead transmission lines in South China State Grid?

Hello, classmate,

In recent years, with the expansion of transmission line assets, manual inspection method is difficult to meet the development needs because of poor inspection effect and low work efficiency. In the case that the contradiction between "man patrol" mode and high reliability requirements is increasingly prominent, helicopters and drones have "gone into battle" and gradually become good helpers for inspection operations. The application of helicopters and drones makes it no longer difficult to patrol the line in the mountain nest. In 20 14, China Southern Power Grid Corporation used helicopters to inspect 29,499 kilometers of transmission lines and organized 645 flight inspections.

According to the company's Equipment Department, in order to continuously improve the lean operation and maintenance management level of transmission lines, the company requires to promote helicopter inspection of transmission lines throughout the network. It is estimated that by the end of 2020, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will fully build the overhead transmission line inspection mode of "machine inspection is the main one, supplemented by manual inspection".

Small planes play a big role.

The helicopter power operation of China Southern Power Grid Corporation started in 2004. At present, there are four helicopters for line inspection. The inspection business has been expanded from Yunnan Power Grid Company and EHV Company to Guangdong, Guangxi and Guizhou Power Grid Companies and Guangzhou and Shenzhen Power Supply Bureaus, and has been promoted throughout the network.

In addition to routine inspections, helicopters also played an active role in 20 14 wind and flood prevention. Ultra-high pressure company completed the emergency patrol task of 1046 km by helicopter, and found 8 1 serious soil erosion and landslide in Taki. Yunnan Power Grid Corporation has increased the frequency of helicopter inspection of important lines, which greatly improved the detection rate of defects such as grounding wires, insulators and hardware fittings.

While exploring the use of helicopters, the company gradually strengthens the research and application of UAV technology. At present, the company has deployed 92 unmanned aerial vehicles of various models, and has conducted cumulative inspections of 377 1 time, and found defects of 1090. Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau and Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau have realized the normal application of multi-rotor UAV, and Guangdong Power Grid Corporation has also accumulated some experience in using large-scale UAV Z5.

Advance in an orderly manner in stages and steps.

Helicopters and drones are emerging in the power field, but there is still a long way to go to form a mature model.

According to the plan, by the end of 2020, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will fully build the overhead transmission line inspection mode of "machine inspection is the main mode, supplemented by manual inspection", and widely use helicopters to carry out power operations such as inspection, emergency rescue and disaster investigation on transmission lines under its jurisdiction, so as to realize the transformation to lean operation and maintenance mode, reduce the defect rate of transmission lines by more than 30% and reduce the cost of line inspection by more than 20%. But today, there are still many "footprints" of helicopters on 220 kV transmission lines.

In order to ensure the smooth realization of the target, the company issued the "Promotion Plan for Helicopter Patrol Operation of Overhead Transmission Lines in China Southern Power Grid" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") in September 20 14, and promoted the helicopter/drone patrol business in an orderly manner according to the principles of "overall planning, standards first, orderly promotion, integrated innovation and complementary advantages".

According to the plan, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will promote helicopter operation in stages and steps. First, the existing helicopter inspection resources of EHV Company and Yunnan Power Grid Company were used for pilot application, and the experience was summarized and gradually popularized in other molecular companies; The second is to implement it step by step by voltage level, first at the voltage level of 500 kV and above, and gradually extend it to 220 kV lines after gaining experience.

In the process of promotion, technological innovation and management innovation are indispensable. In terms of technological innovation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will deploy international advanced detection equipment such as infrared, ultraviolet and 3D laser, improve the level of functional application and development of detection equipment, and build a 3D GIS platform. At the same time, the construction of "Helicopter Patrol Operation Technical Support System" will be started, and the intelligent processing of patrol data will be further strengthened, and mathematical statistics methods will be used for deep excavation and multi-dimensional analysis, so as to improve the analysis and diagnosis ability of line defects and hidden dangers. In terms of management innovation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will continue to optimize the collaborative inspection mode of "machine patrol+human patrol".

In the next stage, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will increase the promotion of helicopter/drone inspection. In 20 15, the helicopter inspection scale of the whole network is expected to reach 62,000 kilometers, which is double that in 20 14.

Guangdong power grid company

Promoting the development of UAV with centralized scientific research and post innovation

While developing manned helicopter patrol, Guangdong Power Grid Corporation has gradually increased its investment in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and adopted the mode of "combining large and small UAVs with complementary advantages", which not only exerted its scientific research strength, but also exerted its grassroots wisdom to promote UAVs.

The inspection system of large unmanned helicopter independently developed by Guangdong Power Grid Electric Power Research Institute is a white plane with a length of 7 meters and a height of more than 3 meters. Its multi-sensor intelligent inspection technology is at the international advanced level, which can fly continuously for more than 20 kilometers, overcoming the limitation that minicomputers can only inspect a single electric tower. From 20 14 to 1, the UAV has completed 52 unmanned helicopter flight inspections on 24 transmission lines, with a cumulative inspection line length of 230 kilometers and a patrol mileage of 680 kilometers, and found more than 200 line defects and hidden dangers that are not easy to find by manual inspection.

From March, 2065438 to March, 2004, Guangdong Power Grid Corporation launched local power supply bureaus, and applied micro UAV system for practical flight training and transmission line fault inspection many times. According to their own conditions, local power supply bureaus have put forward their own UAV operation plans to develop and apply small UAVs.

In order to strengthen organizational guarantee, Guangdong Power Grid Corporation is preparing to build a machine patrol operation center. The relevant person in charge of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation said that in the future, Guangdong Power Grid Corporation will deploy multiple aircraft patrol operation centers in the province, and gradually increase the number of drones, and establish an accurate database according to the inspection results of drones.

○ Main work in 2065438+04: 20 10/020 10/0In June, Guangdong Power Grid Corporation planned to patrol 5928 kilometers with manned helicopters. Up to 20 14 km, 12, 15, 16 14 km have been completed, accounting for 27.23% of the plan.

○ Next plan: In 20 15 years, it is planned to carry out 4629 kilometers of machine patrol on 500 kV lines and 4078 kilometers of machine patrol on 220 kV lines, so as to provide a stable level for power grid operation with scientific and technological strength.

Guangxi power grid company

Further expand the scope, increase the frequency and build a team.

At present, the machine patrol work of Guangxi Power Grid Company is still in the pilot stage, and the patrol lines only account for 2.2% of the total length of the lines under its jurisdiction, and the lines below 220 kV are mainly manual patrol. In the process of realizing the goal of "machine patrol is the main task, supplemented by manual patrol", Guangxi Power Grid Corporation faces some difficulties, such as fewer patrol lines, low patrol frequency, lack of scale effect and inexperienced patrol personnel.

In order to achieve the goal smoothly, Guangxi Power Grid Corporation will expand the scope of helicopter inspection, and plans to initially expand the helicopter inspection work from 20 15 to 220 kV, 1 10 kV lines; By 20 16, the patrol work of lines over 6000 kilometers and 220 kV and above will be completed every year; By the end of 2020, the helicopter patrol of lines over 20,000 kilometers will be completed every year, including all lines of 220 kV and above, and some lines of 35 kV and 1 10 kV.

In addition, the helicopter patrol cycle will be shortened from the current 1 time per year to 6 times per year.

In terms of establishing a professional operation and technical support team, Guangxi Power Grid Corporation will set up a helicopter operation center, equipped with patrol operators, and at the same time carry out training and evidence collection for helicopter patrol operators, so as to realize that all operators on board are certified.

○ Main work in 2065438+04: helicopter patrol inspection of overhead lines was carried out for the first time, and helicopter patrol inspection of four transmission lines was completed throughout the year, with a total length of 660 kilometers, and * * * defects were found 172.

○ Next plan: In 20 15 years, the helicopter inspection work will be initially expanded to 220 kV, 1 10 kV lines. In the year of 20 16, the patrol work of lines over 6000 kilometers and 220 kV and above will be completed every year. (Lu Yingnian)

Yunnan power grid company

Strive to build a national leading first-line detection model

Since 2006, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation has carried out helicopter power inspection on the platform of power transmission and transformation company. In the past seven years, helicopter patrols have been normalized, with an average of more than 9,000 kilometers per year. Helicopter patrol operation has become one of the important means of operation and maintenance of transmission lines in Yunnan power grid.

In this process, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation formulated a number of management systems and operating standards, such as "Technical Guidelines for Helicopter Inspection of Overhead Transmission Lines in Yunnan Power Grid" and so on 10. Among them, the "overhead transmission line helicopter patrol operation sign" has risen to the power industry standard. At the same time, the research and practice of three-dimensional lidar scanning and helicopter cable sling operation of the first high-altitude 500 kV compact transmission line in China were carried out, and the helicopter charged water washing, hanging operation, equipotential charged operation and power transmission construction were explored, which laid the foundation for the in-depth expansion of aircraft patrol operation projects.

In order to further lay a solid organizational foundation, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation set up an aircraft patrol operation center in June, 20 14 as a platform for systematic management of helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles and a promotion and application center for new technologies. According to the plan, by the end of 20 16, the center will strive to realize the routine operation of helicopter 3D lidar scanning, and provide important technical support for Yunnan Power Grid Corporation to establish 3D data model of transmission lines. By the end of 20 17, the helicopter power operation network and helicopter emergency rescue mechanism in the whole province have been basically established; By the end of 20 18, we will strive to realize the routine operation of helicopter maintenance, strive for the helicopter inspection operation to reach the domestic leading level, and gradually draft and establish various industry standards for helicopter electrical operation.

In the research of UAV operation project, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation has developed three generations of products: remote-controlled airship, remote-controlled helicopter and remote-controlled multi-axis aircraft, which have formed a large number of research results and are widely used in power grid construction.

At present, Yunnan Power Grid Corporation is steadily advancing towards the goal of building a three-dimensional operation and maintenance pattern of "man patrol+machine patrol" to meet the development needs of smart grid and create a leading line patrol mode in China.

○ Main work in 2065438+2004: The helicopter inspected 335 flights, inspected the route 1370 1 km, and found 2776 defects and 1282 hidden dangers.

○ Next step plan: Strive to realize the routine operation of helicopter 3D lidar scanning in 20 16 years; By the end of 20 17, the helicopter power operation network and helicopter emergency rescue mechanism in the whole province have been basically established; At the end of 20 18, we will strive to reach the domestic leading level in helicopter inspection. Guizhou power grid company

Unmanned helicopter with propeller.

In 20 14, the manned helicopter of Guizhou power grid company patrolled more than 4042 kilometers. At the same time, through helicopter inspection, the latitude, longitude and altitude of each base tower of the flight line were rechecked, and the distribution position, important span and overall height of the tower of the line conductor connection pipe were collected and sorted out. In addition, Guizhou Power Grid Corporation has also established relevant systems and databases for the management of machine patrol data, which provides support for studying the laws and characteristics of transmission line defects and hidden dangers.

In the next step, Guizhou Power Grid Corporation will strive to achieve the goal of autonomous airborne inspection and independent analysis of aircraft inspection data for manned helicopter inspection, and further study how to make visible light detection more accurate, distinguish subtle parts such as hardware pins, and at the same time have ultraviolet detection and three-dimensional scanning to restore line and channel images. It plans to introduce six small drones.

○ Main work in 2065438+04: manned helicopter flight 107, and found 2759 general defects of transmission lines, 5 emergency defects, 28 major defects and 262 general hidden dangers.

○ Next step plan: The manned helicopter flying 1752 km transmission line plan will be completed in 20 15 years. In the aspect of UAV, a group of technicians have been trained, which makes UAV inspection technology widely used in production lines. (Wang Mingke, Chen Hai)

Ultra-high pressure company

Constructing a new "trinity" inspection mode

In 20 14, EHV company steadily promoted the "trinity" cooperative patrol of helicopter, drone and manpower by using helicopter fine patrol and drone fixed patrol, combined with regular special patrol of field personnel, ensuring the safe operation of the main power grid of power transmission from west to east. Last year, EHV Company also released the work plan of "machine patrol+human patrol" based on the "special section" of overhead transmission lines, and put forward the transmission line operation and maintenance strategy of "man-machine" complementation for the first time.

In order to cover all the lines of the main power grid to the maximum extent, EHV Company put forward the working idea of differentiated patrol.

On the one hand, considering the characteristics of the area where the line is located, the production period of the line, the emergency period of the line and other factors, the power transmission trunk lines are marked with different special sections, which makes the previous "equal treatment" work mode of transmission lines change into a focused and targeted patrol mode.

On the other hand, clearly divide the focus and scope of helicopter, drone and manual patrol, and give full play to the benefits of different patrol modes. For example, manual inspection should be carried out to strengthen the inspection of towers, stay wires, ancillary facilities and foundation surfaces in special areas, including the intact condition of equipment, whether the connection is reliable, whether the backfill soil of the tower foundation sinks, whether there are obstacles in and out, etc. Helicopter patrol inspection focuses on the inspection of towers and passages above the flat mouth, taking into account the inspection of towers or foundations below the flat mouth under visual conditions; Unmanned aerial vehicles are widely used in routine work such as line fault patrol, mountain fire anti-icing special patrol, wire breakage inspection, composite insulator creepage trace (or surface corrosion hole) live patrol, landslide emergency rescue and so on.

At present, the operation and maintenance strategy of "machine patrol+human patrol" is being further refined.

○ Main work in 2065438+04: The length of machine patrol line exceeded 9000 kilometers in the whole year, and more than 1400 defects were found. Among them, the total length of helicopter patrol line over the years reached 34,008 kilometers, and the number of kilometers of single-machine patrol line created the best performance of helicopter electric patrol line in the same industry in China.

○ Next step plan: In 20 15, it is planned to arrange 3 helicopters to carry out the inspection of the main power grid lines for power transmission from west to east. Deploy drones to all grass-roots production teams, realize the normalization of drone inspection, gradually promote independent maintenance and continuous innovation, and build an incubator for helicopter and drone power operators of China Southern Power Grid Corporation. Wang Nan Institute of Science

Provide technical support for lean operation and maintenance.

In recent years, the Helicopter/UAV Power Operation Technology Center of China Southern Power Grid Research Institute has closely focused on the overall deployment of the helicopter/UAV patrol business of the company's equipment department, providing technical support for the whole network to promote the lean operation and maintenance of transmission lines "machine patrol+human patrol", focusing on the construction of standard system, technical support for machine patrol equipment configuration, talent team construction, summary and analysis of operation data, and research on key technologies.

In terms of standard system construction, China Southern Power Grid Research Institute assisted the equipment department of the company in compiling the Operation Guide for Helicopter Patrol Management of Overhead Transmission Lines in China Southern Power Grid, which clarified the business process of helicopter patrol and realized the "integrated" management of helicopter patrol business.

In terms of technology and operation standards, the standard system of "1+ 15" helicopter/UAV patrol operation was established.

In terms of technical support for aircraft patrol equipment configuration, the first phase of "Technical Support System for Helicopter Patrol Operation in China Southern Power Grid" was built, which realized the modern management of aircraft patrol operation by means of information technology. The performance of 7 major domestic suppliers of photoelectric pods and 9 suppliers of multi-rotor UAVs were tested, and the technical status of domestic photoelectric pods and multi-rotor UAVs was fully grasped, which provided technical support for guiding equipment procurement.

In the research of key technologies, the project "Research and demonstration application of helicopter power operation technology for overhead transmission lines" was launched, focusing on solving some key problems that restrict the popularization and application of aircraft line inspection operations.

In the summary and analysis of operation data, the patrol data and work completion of helicopters in the whole network are summarized and analyzed every quarter, and the analysis depth of emergencies and major defects is strengthened from the perspective of equipment life cycle management.

In addition, technical training for helicopter inspectors and skills training for multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles were organized, which laid the foundation for gradually popularizing aircraft inspector training.
