Just after Israeli startup SirinLabs announced the launch of blockchain mobile phone Finney and HTC also launched the first blockchain mobile phone EXODUS 1, Samsung seems to plan to launch its blockchain mobile phone related products.
Previously, Samsung submitted patent applications including "blockchain keystore", "blockchain keystore" and "blockchain core". At the same time, the patent content even points to the category of smart phone products, and includes descriptions of software applications, computing software platforms and mobile device applications.
From the narrative content, Samsung's name patent is more like being used for blockchain-related services, and may not be a mobile phone product. However, judging from the current development of blockchain mobile phones, Samsung does not seem to rule out the application of blockchain technology in combination with its own KNOX technology.
However, at present, there is not much detailed information about the application of Samsung's registered name patent, and Samsung also said that it will not respond to any rumors.
Prior to this, Samsung had invested in blockchain startups through its data system company SamsungSDS at the beginning of this year, and even announced that it would optimize its global business with blockchain technology in order to more effectively control the delivery of goods worth tens of billions of dollars each year. At the same time, it is expected to reduce the freight cost by about 20%.
In addition, Samsung has also explained that the security design of its smart phones is enough to ensure the security of transactions in digital currency, so it seems not surprising that its mobile phone products will be combined with blockchain technology in the future.
