The wire ropes commonly used for cranes include phosphating coated wire ropes, galvanized wire ropes and stainless steel wire ropes, which are used in atmospheric environment. Manganese phosphating coated steel wire rope produced by patented technology has the longest service life, and hot dip galvanized-phosphating double coated steel wire rope is preferred in heavy corrosive environment.
Phosphating coated steel wire rope produced by patented technology gives priority to manganese series or zinc-manganese series phosphating. Compared with the production process of smooth steel wire rope, only the last wear-resistant phosphating process is added, and the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of steel wire rope are greatly improved. Phosphating steel wire rope is directly twisted. At present, the fatigue test data show that the fatigue life of phosphating coated steel wire rope is about 3-4 times that of smooth steel wire rope with the same structure (under comparable conditions in laboratory), and it is still possible to improve it greatly with the research of wear-resistant phosphating formula. Manganese phosphating is wear-resistant phosphating, which can solve the wear problem of steel wire rope in use. According to the approximate price of wire rope market, the price of manganese phosphating coated wire rope is about 1.4- 1.6 times that of smooth wire rope, and the service life is much longer than the price increase. Therefore, the daily average use cost of phosphating coated steel wire rope is only 30-45% of that of smooth steel wire rope, which is lower in use cost and higher in cost performance.
