Lanzhou University of Technology is located in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. It is a university jointly established by the Gansu Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a high-level university in Gansu Province and a "first-class discipline" construction university.
It has been selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest", the "Excellent Engineer Program" of the Ministry of Education, "11plan", the new engineering research and practice project, and the national innovative experiment plan for college students.
