In recent ten years, the school has published 28,785 SCI papers, which have been cited for 334,996 times, authorized 65,438 invention patents and 354 utility models, and won the National Science and Technology Award 17 and the Provincial Science and Technology Award 102. Since the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the approved funds for scientific research projects have reached 6 billion, taking the lead in undertaking 87 major projects such as 973, major scientific research plans and major national science and technology projects, and jointly undertaking more than 240 major national key projects.
The library of the University of Science and Technology of China has a physical collection of 2.2 million books and periodicals in Chinese and foreign languages (including department reference rooms), including more than 40,000 rare books specially collected and reconstructed. The library has built a high-level digital literature system to meet the needs of teaching and scientific research, and introduced and enjoyed 135 Chinese and foreign language databases (platforms), including mainstream authoritative academic databases and retrieval tools at home and abroad.
