As a new type of thermal insulation and load-bearing structural system, EPS modular shear wall is a hollow wall formed by overlapping EPS (polystyrene insulation board) modules through staggered joints. According to the specific design requirements of the building, steel bars are bound and concrete is poured. After the concrete is solidified and hardened, it closely meshes with the dovetail groove on the surface of the module, and finally forms an integrated wall with load-bearing and thermal insulation. The wall has the advantages of thermal insulation, no formwork removal, light weight, convenient and fast construction, and has broad application prospects in residential buildings. Because the EPS modular shear wall structure system started late in China, especially the research on its seismic performance is not sufficient, a lot of experimental research and demonstration are needed. The factors affecting the seismic performance of shear walls are: axial compression ratio, height-width ratio, concrete grade, reinforcement ratio at the edge of shear walls and so on.
CL 15 lightweight aggregate concrete EPS module shear wall is made of lightweight aggregate pumice and volcanic slag, which can meet the bearing capacity requirements of masonry structure and can be popularized and applied.
