Myocardial ischemia can have different manifestations in different patients. Most patients present with chest tightness and shortness of breath after activity. In severe cases, chest pain can occur. In addition, long-term severe myocardial ischemia can cause ischemic cardiomyopathy, leading to heart failure, which can manifest as palpitations, shortness of breath after activity, edema of the lower limbs, oliguria and other symptoms.
Some patients with myocardial ischemia may also develop symptoms of arrhythmia, manifesting as tachycardia, bradycardia, premature beats and other serious arrhythmias. Patients with myocardial ischemia should go to the hospital promptly and take medication regularly.
