Why are there only two CPU manufacturers, but there are so many mobile phone CPU manufacturers?

The mode of mobile phone and pc is not the same.

There are two PCs, and the x86 architecture patents are owned by amd and intel, both of which have research and development capabilities, while the mobile phone adopts the "architecture authorization" mode. At present, almost all mobile phone CPUs are arm architecture, and the patent rights are in the hands of arm (now owned by Softbank of Japan). Whoever wants to use them, they go to arm to buy licenses, but these buyers themselves don't have the ability to develop new architectures. At most, companies like Apple and Qualcomm can do it according to their actual needs.

To put it bluntly, Qualcomm, Samsung, Apple and Huawei Kirin in the mobile phone cpu are at best "OEM" in nature. If you can't develop your own architecture, it is meaningless.
