Methods 1: Remove the super glue from the skin.
1, peel it off as much as possible, but this method is not recommended for sensitive skin. Sometimes, we can tear the super glue off the skin directly. This method should be very useful if only one finger is stuck with glue instead of two fingers. Be careful when peeling the glue. If there is any pain or broken skin, stop trying immediately. Wait until the glue is completely dry, and then try to peel it off. Don't touch the glue while it is still sticking.
When the glue dries, grab its edge with clean nails or tweezers and slowly tear it off the skin. If the glue is sticky or painful, stop it in time.
2. Soak the parts with glue. Warm soapy water can soften the glue and make it leave the skin. Fill the bowl with warm water, then add a spoonful of mild soap. Soak the sticky part in soapy water for 30 to 60 seconds, and then try to peel off the softened glue. If you still can't peel off the glue, you can try rubbing it with other fingers or tools such as spatula and spoon handle to see if the glue can fall off.
You may need many attempts to succeed.
You can also try lemon juice, or make lemonade at the ratio of 1: 1. The acid in lemon juice can dissolve glue.
3. Use mineral oil paint solvent. If your skin is very sensitive, you can try soaking the sticky parts with mineral paint solvent to peel off the glue. If the effect of soaking once is not obvious, please try again.
4. Use acetone. This method is suitable for people with less sensitive skin. People with sensitive skin may find this method irritating or feel that the skin will become dry. Never apply acetone to an open wound. Soak the gummed skin with warm soapy water as soon as possible. Soap can soften glue. Adding a small amount of cold vinegar can also help. Try to tear off the glue. If it still doesn't work, pat the skin dry and continue to try the next method.
Use acetone nail polish remover. Because acetone can soften cyanoacrylate, nail polish remover can also remove super glue. Wipe the super glue with nail polish remover. At this time, the dried glue should start to fall off. Do not apply nail polish remover with cotton swab, it will react violently with cyanoacrylate, smoke and even ignite suddenly.
When the glued part is dry, use nail file to remove the glue. Be careful not to hurt your skin. If there is a lot of glue on your hand, wipe off the pumice soaked in warm water.
Wait for it to fall by itself. Glue that sticks to the skin will turn white. It won't hurt you, even if you leave it alone, it will eventually fall off by itself.
5. Try margarine. If your skin is sensitive, it might be better to use a little oil. Keep rubbing margarine on the sticky parts until the glue can be easily removed. If there is no margarine, olive oil is equally effective. The grease in olive oil will react with the glue, making the glue slowly lose its viscosity.
6. Use laundry detergent. Mix any brand of laundry detergent with hot water. If you only need to remove a small part of the glue, such as the glue on your fingers, what would you do? A cup of laundry detergent mixed with hot water is about enough for a coffee cup. Knead for about 20 minutes while soaking, and the thick glue layer will start to loosen.
Step 7 use salt. The paste made of salt and water has a certain friction force and can scrape the glue off the skin. Pour two tablespoons of salt into your hand. Add a little water to make a salt paste.
Rub it in your hand for 30 to 60 seconds.
Rinse it slightly with water.
Keep kneading without adding water.
Repeat until the salt is completely dissolved. If all goes well, the glue on your hand should have been removed.
8. Use vaseline. Wash hands and places with glue with hot soapy water. Apply a lot of vaseline to the part with glue.
Rub the area with nail file for one minute, or rub until the glue falls off.
Repeat this method. Then wash and wipe your hands.
Method 2: Remove the super glue from the eyes.
1, wash the glued eyelids with warm water. Dip a soft cloth in warm water and gently soak the eyelids. Then clean it up. Put gauze on your eyes and wait patiently. 1 4 days later, your eyes will naturally open. Do not force yourself to open your eyes. Give it enough time to heal.
2. If the super glue touches the eyeball, let the tears flow freely. After a few hours, the glue will eventually leave the eye proteins, and tears will wash them away. Whether you or someone else has glue in their eyes, you can wash it with warm water as long as you don't feel too uncomfortable. You may get diplopia. In the meantime, find a safe place to rest and wait for the glue to leave the eyeball and be washed away.
3. See a doctor. If the skin around the eyes or inside the eyes encounters super glue, it is strongly recommended that you see a doctor. Eyes are very delicate. If there are any problems, you should have them examined by experts to avoid any left-over injuries. Tell the doctor what happened and ask for a professional eye examination to make sure everything is normal.
Method 3: Remove the super glue from the lips.
1, act immediately. If your lips are glued together with super glue, it's no joke.
2. Fill a small bowl with warm water. Soak your lips in water, and the water must pass through your lips. Then soak 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Try to accumulate saliva in your mouth. Soak your lips with saliva inside. Saliva can moisten and soften glue from the inside of the mouth, while warm water acts on the outside.
4. Carefully peel or open your lips. Before trying to separate the two lips, be sure to thoroughly wet the inside and outside of the lips, and don't pull, otherwise it will do more harm to the lips. Always soak your lips in water, and then treat them from the inside out. If the situation is optimistic, the lips should be able to slowly separate.
5. Eat and drink normally. Your saliva will eventually remove all the remaining glue, but don't swallow it into your stomach. Remember to spit out all the fallen glue residue. Don't worry about swallowing glue, because it will automatically solidify into a solid when it touches saliva.
The glue left on the lips will also fall off within 1 to 2 days.
Method 4: Remove the super glue from smooth surfaces (wood, metal and stone).
1, try peeling off the super glue first. Touch the edge of the super glue with your fingertips or nails to see if it will curl up and peel off. If so, that would be great. If not, proceed to the next step. These methods are suitable for most smooth surfaces, including wood, metal and stone. But don't use it on glass or plastic.
Before using any solvent, try a hidden place to make sure it won't cause any harm, and then use it to treat the glue. If you use corrosive or abrasive solvents such as acetone, you should pay more attention. If there is no problem with the test results, it can be used to treat glue.
2. Soak the parts. Add dishwashing detergent to warm water, and then soak the dishcloth in it. Cover the glue with a soaked rag and let it stand for a few hours. In order to keep the rag moist, you may need to cover it with plastic film.
Wait until the glue is soft, and try to scrape it off.
3. Try acetone nail polish remover. If the glue is directly peeled off from the wooden surface, it may damage the wooden surface. So be careful enough to clean the glue on the wood. If you are not careful when using acetone nail polish remover, not only wood, but also some stones or metals will be damaged. Dip a clean rag in acetone or nail polish remover. Besides the rag, you can also use a toothbrush, but this toothbrush must not be used to brush your teeth in the future.
Rub the glue with the parts immersed in the solution. If the glue area is small, wrap your fingers with a rag and circle the glue. If the gluing area is relatively large, it is necessary to expand the contact surface between the rag and the glue, and then rub the glue in a circular way.
Scrape off the glue with a rubber or silicone scraper. If it goes well, acetone will make the rubber edge tilt, which can be removed bit by bit along the tilted edge with a spatula.
Scrub the area with warm soapy water to remove residual acetone. If cleaning furniture, polish it with beeswax or olive oil after washing.
Step 4 use lemon juice. If you don't have acetone nail polish remover, or want to use a milder method, you can try lemon juice. Apply lemon juice to the glue in the same way. Apply lemon juice to the super glue with an old cleaning toothbrush. Rub the glue stain in a circle with a toothbrush until it starts to fall off.
It is equally effective to apply alcohol like this.
5. Try mineral oil. For unpainted surfaces, mineral oil can be used to remove glue. Wet the rag with mineral oil, and then rub the glue stain until it falls off. Wash off the residual mineral oil with warm soap and finally polish it. This method is very effective for unpainted wooden surfaces.
6. Use sandpaper to grind the glue off the wood surface. In some cases, polishing parts with glue may be the best choice. In order to protect the material around the glue stain, a sealant tape is attached to it. Then polish the glue stains until they fall off. Finally, oil, color or paint it to restore its original appearance.
Method 5: Remove the super glue from the cloth.
1. Wash clothes with warm water first. Try to remove glue stains by rubbing. Use your common sense, don't rub or scrub very delicate fabric hard, so as not to damage it.
It will be more effective to add some cleaning detergent to the water. Two tablespoons is enough.
2. Treating natural fabrics with acetone. Wet the cloth, then wash the old toothbrush with acetone, and then rub the glue stains with the toothbrush to see if it can be removed. Scrape off the glue with a blunt knife or scraper, and then clean it normally. If you are used to dealing with stains before washing clothes, you can also deal with glue stains first. Do not use acetone to treat fabrics containing cellulose acetate or cellulose acetate derivatives, otherwise the fabrics may melt.
Before treating any clothes with acetone, find an inconspicuous place to do the experiment.
Note that the color of the cloth may darken after removing the glue with acetone.
Send your expensive clothes to the dry cleaner. If the clothes with glue are more expensive, or if you can't clean the glue stains yourself, then give it to a professional. It is better to take a safe approach than to regret it afterwards.
Method 6: Remove the super glue from the plastic.
1, try to erase it or wrap it. Prise the edge of the glue stain with your nails. After you pry open a corner, try to wrap it and peel off the whole piece of glue. This method may take some effort, but it may be the best method. You can also try scraping the glue with a scraper or knife. They shouldn't scratch the plastic.
2, wet glue water stains. Brew warm soapy water with mild dishwashing liquid. Soak a rag or paper towel with soapy water. Wring out the excess water and keep it slightly moist.
Cover the glue stain with a rag or paper towel. Wrap a layer of plastic wrap to prevent water evaporation. Let it stand for a few hours. Wet rags and paper towels will wet the glue and make it softer.
After a few hours, wipe off all the softened glue with a rag soaked in warm soapy water. Keep wiping the glue until it sticks to the rag.
3. Use massage alcohol. Please note that this method may cause damage to some materials, so please try it locally before using it. Use a soft cleaning cloth dipped in massage alcohol (isopropanol).
Gently wipe the glue stain with a cleaning cloth to make it soft.
Pry open the upturned and soft parts to remove glue stains as much as possible.
Take another rag and soak it in soapy water to remove the residue on the plastic.
Finally, wash it with warm water. Air-dried naturally.
Method 7: Remove the super glue from the glass.
1. Scrape off as much glue as possible with a sharp blade. The razor blade can scrape off the glue without damaging the glass. If the blade successfully removes the glue, remember to simply wash the residue with mild soapy water, then wash it with clear water and wait for it to dry.
2. Soak the parts with glue stains. If you can't peel off the glue, soak it in warm water and try again. Prepare a bowl of warm soapy water and put the glass with glue in it. If the glass is too big to be soaked in soapy water, just dip a rag in warm soapy water, then apply it to the glue stain and keep it for a while.
Cover the rag with plastic wrap and fix it with adhesive tape. Let it stand for an hour or two until the glue becomes soft. Scrape off the softened glue with a blade or scraper.
All residues on the glass can be removed with alcohol, eucalyptus oil or acetone. After wiping the glass, it can be polished according to the situation.
Patented products such as Tips Citrus Heavy Oil Cleaner can remove super glue from the surface of many materials. Professional super glue scavengers can also be found in the market. Read its description and see which materials it can remove super glue from.
Acetone is more common in nail polish remover. However, not all nail polish remover contains acetone, so look at its ingredient list before cleaning super glue with nail polish remover. If there is acetone, you can use it to clean the super glue.
The removal of super glue should start from the edge. You need to tear all the glue stains off these upturned edges. So the first step you have to do is to wet the glue and roll up the edge of the glue stain.
If none of these methods can remove the super glue from the skin, try turpentine. Pour a little turpentine on your hands and rub your skin for one minute. Wash with soap and water, and then dry the water. This method can at least remove most of the super glue.
Warning acetone and massage alcohol will darken the color of materials, they will take away decals and paints on materials and cause other damage. Therefore, you must be careful when using acetone and massage alcohol, and you must first find an inconspicuous position to do the experiment.
Please think twice before touching the super glue or the super glue cover with your mouth. People like to bite off the super glue cap or grab the super glue bottle with their mouths, which is one of the most common reasons why lips stick together.
Please remember that when using cyanoacrylate products, it is not recommended to wear cotton or wool clothes, especially gloves made of these two materials. These materials will react with cyanoacrylate and give off heat, which may burn the skin or even ignite.
