What is the density of scrap steel and ductile iron?

The density of nodular cast iron is 6.6-7.4 for gray cast iron, 7.3 for nodular cast iron and 7.2-7.4 for malleable cast iron. Ink cast iron is a general term for alloys with iron, carbon and silicon as the main components. In these alloys, the carbon content exceeds the amount that can be retained in austenite solid solution at crystallization temperature.
