First, discipline construction:
Hunan College of Humanities and Science and Technology has 14 secondary colleges, 55 full-time undergraduate majors and 1 master's degree authorization points, covering 9 disciplines such as literature, science, engineering, teaching, economics, management, law, agriculture and art.
It has five provincial-level "double-first-class" applied characteristic disciplines: applied economics, Marxist theory, plant protection, computer science and technology, and materials science and engineering.
E-commerce and other 18 majors were approved as provincial first-class undergraduate majors, and three majors, such as energy and power engineering, network engineering and e-commerce, were approved as national first-class undergraduate majors.

Faculty 1 366, including 332 senior titles, 879 masters and doctors, 6/KLOC-0 experts who enjoy special allowances from the State Council and provincial governments, national excellent teachers, provincial talents in various talent projects, and 4 provincial teaching and research teams.
Third, foreign exchange:
Hunan College of Humanities and Science has successively carried out exchanges and cooperation between teachers and students with 50 universities in the United States, Britain, Russia and other countries and regions. The pre-school education major of Sino-foreign cooperative education program successfully passed the qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education. The school was identified as the "One Belt, One Road" scholarship enrollment unit in Hunan Province.

Teachers of Hunan College of Humanities presided over 528 scientific research projects, including national fund project 15, five humanities and social sciences projects of the Ministry of Education, and four scientific research and teaching projects above the provincial level18.
Published 350 high-level papers and 59 books; Won the provincial scientific research and teaching achievement award 18; Obtained 37 invention patents and 649 utility model, appearance and software copyrights.
