Confucius said: "Those who know (know) are happy with water, and those who are benevolent are happy with mountains; Those who know (know) move, and those who are kind are quiet; Those who know are happy, and those who are benevolent are longevity. "
Translation:
Confucius said: "Wise people like water, while benevolent people like mountains;" A wise man knows how to be flexible, and an upright man is prepared for danger in times of peace. Wise people enjoy water, but benevolent people live long. "
It is vivid and profound to describe mountains and rivers as different people have different opinions. This is just like Zhu in the Analects of Confucius in the Southern Song Dynasty: "Without a deep understanding of benevolence and wisdom, we can never make such a description." The sage has both wisdom and benevolence, so the patent right of this description belongs to him.
