A new achievement in polymer chemistry - "polymer"
In recent years, Eastman Chem. Corp. of the United States has used α-olefins to trial-produce new polymers. Molecular compounds are called "polyallomers". This name is derived from the Greek words poly (meaning aggregation), allos (meaning heterogeneous), meros (meaning part), etc. Indicates that the chemical composition of this polymer compound is not a single monomer, but may include two or more monomers. This is different from the oriented polymers discovered by Professor Natta. This method of polymer polymerization is called "allomerization". This term includes the following: the components of the polymer can be changed, but its crystal shape is fixed.
