In 2005, lithium batteries started in China and South Korea, but in just nine years and 20 14 years, the market share of lithium batteries in China has completely surpassed that of Japan. Among the top ten lithium battery companies in the world, China accounts for six, while the other four Japanese and Korean companies account for two respectively.
It is no exaggeration to say that China's lithium battery industry monopolizes the world, and its share in the world is still increasing, mainly due to new energy vehicles. Since the concept of "carbon neutrality" was put forward, the position of fuel vehicles is in jeopardy, and new energy vehicles are being actively promoted around the world. Although Europe is the birthplace of fuel vehicles, there is no way to "avoid customs" this time. The whole world is engaged in new energy sources, so Europe naturally cannot fall behind.
According to 20 18 and 20 19 global sales of new energy vehicles, the growth rate in 2020 can be calculated, but due to health incidents, the sales volume last year and this year did not meet expectations. However, the European market actually surpassed China in the sales of new energy vehicles in this health incident, becoming the largest automobile sales area in the world. But the problem comes back to the lithium battery. China monopolizes the world lithium battery market with about 80% market share, which means that at least 7 or 8 of 10 vehicles use China brand lithium batteries. In the future new energy vehicle market, if even the most basic power problems are not completely self-sufficient, developing new energy vehicles is just a joke.
Because they want to increase their income and are too worried about anti-sanctions against European countries, Europe has set up factories crazily in the past two years, hoping to fully realize the independent production of lithium batteries after 2025. Although this idea is good, it is very difficult to operate in practice. The global lithium resources are very limited. Even for us, a big exporter of lithium batteries, there are not many lithium resources, and Europe is not worth mentioning. Lithium resources mainly come from South America and Australia, but the layout of China is very early, and lithium mining enterprises in Australia, Chile, Ireland, Argentina and other countries all have shares. It is reported that China already has half of the world's lithium resources. This statement is not true, but it can also prove that China is rich in lithium resources.
Our country can have such foresight and layout on lithium batteries, thanks to Chen Liquan, an academician of the Academy of Engineering. The concept of 200 1 new energy has not been fully recognized, and the use of lithium batteries as power has not been recognized in China. The research of lithium battery is not optimistic at all, and even whether this project can continue is a problem. Later, Academician Chen looked for the relevant person in charge, hoping to give the lithium battery a chance and give him a chance. Later, it took him ten years to fully realize the localization of lithium batteries and carry out various forms of lithium battery research, which injected a strong impetus into the development of lithium batteries in China.
Although the lithium battery was first developed in Japan, it has not been improved in decades of use, and China has been constantly modifying the lithium battery in a short period of use, which is not as simple as innovation. Through experimental research, some other materials were added to the original lithium battery to make the battery performance stronger. Moreover, the equipment and raw materials on our production line have been basically self-produced, and the technology accumulated over the years is constantly cultivating the next generation of talents.
Not only in the trade of lithium batteries, but also in many market areas, European countries can't stop the benefits brought by China, and cooperation in many aspects can only be win-win. So recently, European countries have been courting China frequently. Especially after the Italian received orders of more than 30 billion yuan from China, other European countries are also extending olive branches to China. For example, in addition to Serbia, Poland, Ireland and Hungary have recently sought in-depth cooperation from our foreign ministers. In fact, it is because of China's growing influence in all aspects that a small lithium battery can monopolize their market, let alone other products. In addition, our Foreign Minister also said that he would encourage China people to set up factories in these countries and help them revitalize their economies. Thus, hugging China's thigh is the future development trend. We can not only help them make lithium batteries, but also help them make other industries.
But then again, if Europe wants to import lithium batteries completely independently from China and realize self-research, in addition to raw materials, it also faces technical difficulties, because we hold a large number of lithium battery patents, and if we want to bypass it, we must upgrade lithium batteries. In addition, of the 15 lithium battery factories invested in Europe in recent years, only one is owned by a European, most of the other 14 are controlled by China, and the rest are also controlled by Japan and South Korea. Therefore, the layout of the lithium battery industry in Europe is not only much late, but now even the soup can't be drunk.
