According to the Great Wall official, this "lemon mixed DHT" is an efficient and high-performance hybrid scheme, covering almost all travel scenarios such as low-speed travel, long-term parking, high-speed/urban loop. It can bring users a travel life with lower fuel consumption, stronger motivation and more comfortable experience.

Its forward-looking and technological advancement can be simply summarized as "1-2-3", that is, hybrid power system, two power architectures and three powertrains.

Multi-mode hybrid power system considering power and fuel consumption

Great Wall said that the "Lemon Hybrid DHT" system is essentially a hybrid technology system based on "seven-in-one" efficient multi-mode hybrid, including1.5l1.5t hybrid special engine, fixed-axis gearbox, GM/TM dual motors, dual-motor controller and integrated DCDC.

First of all, one of its hybrid systems means that "Lemon Hybrid DHT" adopts a dual-motor series-parallel topology and has various working modes such as pure electricity, series connection and energy recovery (similar to Honda i-MMD hybrid system). PHEV architecture strives to bring consumers a smoother, more lasting and stronger driving experience, which is closer to pure electric vehicles. Therefore, it will be equipped with a larger capacity battery, which can achieve the longest pure electric cruising range of PHEV models in the world, up to 200km.

Three sets of powertrains refer to the powertrains of "1.5L+DHT 100" and "1.5T+DHT 130" under the two architectures of HEV/PHEV; Under the PHEV architecture, there are "1.5T+DHT 130+P4" four-wheel drive powertrains, which respectively correspond to different levels of products and meet users' diversified choices.

Three technologies of "saving time, being quick and smooth"

Great Wall Motor said that with the "1-2-3" architecture, lemon hybrid DHT can achieve "fast and quiet" in full speed domain and whole scene. Its core working principle is simply to make the engine work at the highest efficiency point forever, or to maximize the efficiency of the engine, so as to achieve the best overall efficiency.

In EV working mode, TM motor (driving motor) can directly drive the wheels, so that the engine can always be kept in the high efficiency area and give full play to its dynamic performance.

Under urban driving conditions, the series mode will be started, the engine will drive GM (generator) to generate electricity, and the TM motor will directly drive the wheels. In the series hybrid power mode, the fuel saving rate can reach 35%-50%.

The high-speed driving condition is more suitable for parallel mode. The engine directly drives the wheels, and the GM motor and TM motor are responsible for adjusting the working point of the engine and assisting in driving the wheels. This engine direct drive mode falls directly in the high efficiency area, and the fuel consumption can be reduced by 10%- 15% compared with the series mode.

The energy recovery mode will start when the vehicle brakes, and TM motor can directly recover energy, which not only improves the working efficiency of the whole vehicle, increases the cruising range, but also further reduces the fuel consumption, thus better optimizing the energy utilization rate.

In terms of performance, lemon hybrid DHT consists of a hybrid special engine, a dual-motor hybrid gearbox and a 135kW three-in-one dual-speed electric drive rear axle, which constitutes a three-machine/four-wheel drive power system and brings strong power. Among them, HEV two-drive system provides 180kW system power, while PHEV two-drive system has a total power of 240kW.

As for the most powerful PHEV+P4 dual-motor all-drive system, the total power can reach 320kW. The intelligent four-wheel drive system with this architecture has strong climbing ability, such as the maximum climbing degree of 60%-65% when asphalt pavement is dry and 15%- 18% when it is snowy.

In addition, one of the original design intentions of lemon hybrid DHT is to provide a smooth and quiet driving experience similar to electric vehicles. The power battery it uses has the advantages of high energy density and good safety. Among them, HEV architecture uses 1.8kWh battery, which improves the battery capacity by more than 30% compared with the traditional hybrid system.

It is worth mentioning that when this system switches between different modes, the engine intervention will only feel the change of engine sound wave, and the vehicle will not feel frustrated when the clutch is engaged.

As for driving on the high-ring road, lemon hybrid DHT hybrid vehicles will basically use the engine economic direct drive mode to provide power for the vehicle. When there is a power demand, the motor will intervene to provide additional power, forming a parallel drive mode, which will not produce the feeling of "insufficient strength" and further improve the re-acceleration ability in high-speed scenes.

As a product independently designed and developed by Great Wall, lemon hybrid DHT has completely independent intellectual property rights, with a total of 199 patents, including 80 core patents.
