Samsung invented the curved screen, why did it abandon it? Is Apple “smarter”?

So the question is, why did Samsung, which once invented the "curved screen", gradually abandon it?

In fact, Samsung’s curved screen mobile phone can be traced back to the Samsung GALAXY Round in 2013. This mobile phone was only launched in South Korea and adopted an “inner curve” design. Domestic users became familiar with Samsung’s curved screen phones later, probably starting with the Samsung S6 EDGE and Galaxy Note5 series in 2015.

In fact, last year Samsung’s S20 series all adopted a curved screen design, but with this year’s S21 series, Samsung gradually gave up the curved screen design. There are two reasons for this. On the one hand, the curved screen has been proven by the market for nearly ten years. In addition to increasing the visual beauty, it is not helpful for daily use and may even increase the chance of mistaken touch; on the other hand, Samsung Folding screen technology has been successfully developed, and the focus of future research and development has long since shifted from curved screens to folding screens.

Apple seems to have long seen through the "truth" that the "gimmick" of the curved screen is greater than its practicality. Therefore, it has never launched any iPhone with a curved screen, and there is no internal project plan for a curved screen mobile phone. .
