1979 On September 20th, according to the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Metallurgy issued the Notice on Changing the Management System of Changchun Gold Research Institute of the Ministry of Metallurgy, and decided to divide the relevant gold parts of Jilin Metallurgical Research Institute, restore the organizational system of Changchun Gold Research Institute, and change it into a management system with dual leadership of the Ministry of Metallurgy and Jilin Province and one department as the main part.
Since then, the Gold Research Institute has begun the arduous process of restoring and rebuilding the only gold professional research institute in China. While undertaking heavy infrastructure, we will carry out gold scientific research tasks for the whole country.
1989 according to the circular of the State Council on the establishment of internal institutions in the State Council [Guo Fa (88) No.54] and the official reply of the State Planning Commission on the implementation of separate projects by the State Gold Bureau in the national plan [Ji Zong (88) 1029], the State Gold Administration issued a document No.220 [1929]. Gold enterprises and institutions directly under the Ministry of Metallurgy were changed to be directly under the State Administration of Gold and China Gold Corporation respectively, and changed to Changchun Gold Research Institute of the State Administration of Gold.

Our institute turned into the dual leadership of the National Gold Bureau and China Gold Corporation.
In 2003, government and enterprise were separated, and the State Gold Bureau was subordinate to the State Economic and Trade Commission. On the basis of China Gold Corporation, China National Gold Corporation was formally established, and our institute is a scientific research unit directly under the group company. Renamed Changchun Gold Research Institute.
With the development of gold industry in China, our institute has formed a comprehensive R&D system with complete scientific research institutions and advanced technical means. At present, our institute has professional disciplines and technologies covering the whole production process of gold industry, such as geology, mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, environmental protection, rock and mineral, analysis, machinery manufacturing, electricity, automation and computer application.
Since the establishment of Changchun Gold Research Institute nearly 50 years ago, * * * has undertaken more than 450 scientific research projects/kloc-0, including 500 national and local key scientific research projects. 382 scientific research achievements were obtained, and 88 national, provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards were won. In terms of beneficiation and metallurgy technology, in addition to providing conventional process mineralogy research, beneficiation test, precious metal recovery process and gold refining and purification, it can also provide all-round technical services and technical consultation such as concentrator design, industrial technology debugging, and reaching production standards. Especially in the extraction process of refractory gold ore with high arsenic, high sulfur, high carbon and high impurities, our institute has new technological systems such as biological oxidation, roasting oxidation, hot-pressing oxidation and cyanide-free gold extraction.
In terms of environmental protection technology, it has patented technologies such as Cotl oxidation method and two-step (three-step) precipitation method for advanced treatment of high-concentration cyanide-containing wastewater, and has rich experience in pollution control of cyanide-containing tailings pulp, arsenic-containing wastewater and nitrogen oxide-containing exhaust gas in gold mines.
In mining, our institute has strong technical advantages in thin and extremely thin vein mining, efficient mining of thick ore bodies, roof control of stope of broken ore bodies, maintenance of broken roof of inclined and gently inclined ore bodies, filling process system, rock mass reinforcement technology, ventilation and dust prevention, and deep well cooling technology.
The National Gold, Silver and Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of our institute is the only national arbitration institution in the gold industry authorized by the AQSIQ, and the Shanghai Gold Exchange is responsible for the technical appraisal of the refinery.
